- Description
- A wooden block with a metal plate that has been engraved (in reverse) with the design for Peter and Catharine Whyte’s 1956 Christmas card: a group of vehicles in a convoy travelling down a road to the mountains. The last car is filled with a group of animals, and beside this vehicle there is a post with a bunch of signs pointing to directions to different cities. These signs say “HOMER, FAIRBANKS, EDMONTON, DAWSON CITY, BANFF, ANCHORAGE, VALDEZ, WHITEHORSE, FORT ST. JOHN, AND SEWARD”. The licence plate on the last vehicle says “B.N.P. 1956 CANADA”. While below the drawing it says “SEASONS GREETINGS CATHARINE AND PETER”.
