- A carabiner with two pitons attached:(a) a thick, soft iron D-ring carabiner (10.3x6.7cm wide) with a hinged gate, but no safety bar. Stencilled in “H G”, followed by engraved “CASSIN” surrounded by part oval logo.(b) a horizontal piton (16.5cmx4.0cm wide) made out of soft iron, with a flat blade at one end and raised ‘handle’ at the other with a round hole to put a carabiner through. Engraved on the handle “AUSTRIA STUBAI”. A yellow sales label with black printing “BAROTTO CALGARY “$1.10 EA”. Hand printed in green ink “VERTICAL”.(c) a vertical piton (16.5x3.8cm wide) made out of soft iron, with flat blade and handle, engraved “MADE IN AUSTRIA STUBAI” remnants of a shop’s yellow sales label with black lettering “BAROTTO CALGAR” with the Y partially missing.
