- Description
- A large papoose doll in buckskin mossbag. Head is carved from a block of wood with black bead pupils set in white wax eyes, painted eyelashes and brows, and red lips. A toupee of long dark brown horse hair is glued to head beneath buckskin bonnet which is trimmed with white fur and tied under chin. Body of stuffed blue twill fabric. Buckskin mossbag is fringed across shoulders at back, and at bottom, and trimmed with white fur. Along each side is a large red beaded flower with blue and green leaves and stem. Bag is tightly laced across front opening with piece of buckskin beneath opening.
