- A full grown hawk is sitting with a fledgling under its breast. The wings of the hawk are well carved on the back, the right wing overlaps the left wing. Its head is turned slightly to the left. The fledgling has its mouth open, Also looking to the left. The fledgling is gray in appearance from the fine inscribing of the sculptor. The nest is well defined. Numerous cracks over all the soapstone.
