- A stone bridge runs across a river. The river runs from the centre of the painting on the left and extends into the distance. It curves to the left around the river bank. A train crosses the bridge. Smoke is being expelled from the train. On the right of the painting are four or five leafless trees. Along the close side of the river bank is a walkway with moorings or black pylons. Hazy trees are visible in the upper portion of the painting.
