- Description
- The foreground is a stretch of grass with coniferous trees scattered upon it. Part of a small violet-grey stream, with touches of white and blue, is found to the left of centre. All the trees are small except for a single grouping on the right side. Beyond the grassy area is a strip of light blue-green water. The background is filled with the lower slopes of a mountain bordering Bow Lake. On the left at the base of the mountain, are two small patches of trees. About two-thirds of the background is composed of light violet-grey, and light brown-grey areas of loose rock with patches of pale yellow snow. One snow patch resembling a crescent moon is to the left of the tall group of trees. The upper third of the background is composed of dark blue-grey rocks with smaller patches of shadowed snow (coloured light blue).
