- Description
- View of a rolling valley with distant mountains. The foreground, located in the lower third of the sketch, contains a shallow valley of bright green grass. Forests of dark green grow on the sides of the valley, and encroach upon it. Towards the right side, mountain peaks are visible beyond the valley. The medium blue peaks have touches of white and brown-grey. The sky, filling the upper two-thirds of the sketch, contains: horizontal stretches of grey cloud; some lighter, rounded portions of pale grey-yellow clouds (with touches of pink); and a area of light blue sky, which shows through by the upper left corner.
