- Description
- View of a wooden bridge crossing a stream. In the right foreground is the grassy bank of the stream, coloured light green, blue-green and green-ochre. The stream flows from the lower righthand corner into the background, and disappears under a bridge (near the picture's centre). The right bank of the stream is also covered with brush and grasses. A few evergreens with grey trunks stand at the far right. The bridge is depicted in the same green-greys and violet-greys as these trees. Behind the bridge is a forest of evergreens with black and brown shadows. The background trees by the right end of the bridge are coloured with deep blue. On the right, beyond a gap in the trees, part of a peak can be seen (painted with light browns, violet-grey and dark grey). Above the peak, in the light blue sky, two oblong clouds have been roughly sketched in.
