- Jack Carter, 1936-1989, worked for the Alberta Forest Service for ca.18 years as radio operator, lookout operator and finally as Chief Fire Detection Officer. Carter was active in the Rocky Mountain Ramblers. He travelled widely and spent time working in Crete, Australia and New Zealand doing geological and archaeological work.
