- History / Biographical
- Charles Escotte "Chuck" Millar, 1902-1982, was a rancher, guide and outfitter at Banff and Canmore, Alberta, Canada. Millar grew up in the Red Deer district and was involved with horses all his life. He worked on pack trains for Brewster's Mountain Pack Trains, Brewster Transport Co. Ltd. and Mount Assiniboine Lodge. In later life, he lived at Winnipeg, Manitoba and wrote extensively about life on the trail.

Ltd., Erling Strom at Mount Assiniboine Lodge, 1920s-1940s; bear encounters. Numerous trail characters are discussed, including Jim and Ray Bagley, Bill Peyto and Bill Neish. Includes grub list, 1930. Accompanied by photograph of early stage coach, possibly travelling Banff-Calgary.
