- Catherine Edith (MacLean) Campbell, 1894-1978, was born in Nova Scotia, Canada and was a school teacher at North Battleford, Saskatchewan, where she was a member of the Alpine Club of Canada, Saskatoon section, ca.1921-ca.1924. MacLean attended the ACC Larch Valley camp in 1923, becoming an active member with a climb of Mount Odaray, and the Mount Robson camp in 1924. She later married James Alexander Campbell and moved to Toronto
