- The Allens of Boston, Massachusetts were personal friends of Col. Philip Moore of Banff. Ruth Allen, 1885-1988, and her brother, Herbert S. Allen, made several early trips in the Canadian Rockies with the Brewsters and Phil Moore. Her diverse interests included art, gardening, photography, travel and horsemanship.
