- S. A. (Sidney Alfred) Smyth (also known as Smythe) was a professional photographer who worked mainly out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada from ca.1883 until 1900. For a time, ca.1885, S. A. Smyth worked in partnership with his brother, itinerant photographer A. J. Smyth, as the Smyth Brothers of Calgary. S. A. Smyth also worked in Minnedosa, Manitoba; Banff, Alberta; and Vancouver, Vernon and Atlin, British Columbia.
