There is a rabbit watching the animals visiting and leaving the house, and a figure is slipping in a chair by the chimney stack. On the top edge “SEASONS GREETINGS 1949” and on the bottom edge “CATHARINE AND PETER,” and “Peter Whyte” can be read. Near the TLC different dimensions are written out: “4 3/8 x 6 3/4” (above 6 3/4 there is a faint 6/8 written), “2 4 1/2 3 3/8,” “4 3/8 x 1 1/2.”verso: there is another rough sketch of the same scene seen on the the front side of the paper.
