This piece is comprised of three panels. Together the panels represent an outdoor gathering in a tent like structure celebrating flowers. There are 13 women in total in this piece. The first panel contains a group of 3 women in the foreground and a group o three in a background. In the tlc a table is set. The second panel depicts a group of three women: one holding a small planter. There is a very large flower pot on the right side. The third panel also has three women. two are sitting and one standing with many flower pots sitting on a stand in the right side.

This painting was commisioned by the Peter Whyte Gallery to be included in the Art Bank purchase grant received by the Gallery during 1978. The reverse of the frame reads: (It is the mountain next to the Columbia Icefield, (Mt. Columbia) (Mt. Athabasca) which ever it is, that's the title. This painting is acrylic on gessoed masonite. It was begun in 1978 and completed in 1979. The surface can be easily damaged which explains the plexiglas. Any problems please contact the artist. signed: J.B. Spencer. Spencer's father became ill during the production of this work, thus the delay in completion.

On the left side of the painting an eagle sits on the top of a dead tree facing the right side of the image. Behind the brown, yellow and white bird there are mountains and trees. The mountains in the far distance have some snow on the peaks but the closer ones are covered with green trees. In the foreground a blue body of water is surrounded with a brilliant green weed or grass. From the cl to the cr a line of trees cross the bottom of the image. Some of the trees and grass between the background mountains and the foreground water are a yellow hue.
