Collections includes views of Hollywood movie sets and actors taken during the filming of "Saskatchewan", "River of No Return" and "The Far Country", all made in the Canadian Rockies during the summer of 1953.
Bini Fuhrmann worked as a lab technician in George Noble's photographic studio in Banff, Alberta, Canada during the summer of 1953. When tourists brought films in for processing, the technicians would make extra copies of snapshots of movie sets and actors for themselves.

Aleen Aked was born in England in 1907 and moved with her parents to Ontario in 1910. Aked attended the Ontario College of Art and completed her degree with honours in 1928. Aked travelled to Banff and Lake Louise with her parents in 1939 and documented her activities in a photograph album. Aked died in 2003.
