This drawing is a stylistically loose portrayal of a mountain scene. This scene is comprised only of mountains and rock - no trees or such other landscape. The foreground of the piece is comprised of many loose rocks that are piled on top of one another and recede into the background. The line quality of the drawing in the foreground is much heavier and more detailed than the background. Shading in the piece is done mostly with cross-hatching.
