The white is used in a single line to add a highlight on the left side of her chin. The sketch is completed on Brown paper with a light wood frame. Signature is graphite in the lower right corner.

This drawing is a mountain scene, done in pastels on a grey coloured drawing paper. There are 3 mountain peaks: One is cropped off in the trc ,one is centered to the left, and one is in the tlc. In the forground is a small body of water which inhabits about 1/6 of the piece. The predominant colour is the grey of the paper. The mountain rocks are drawn mainly with black and there are white snowmarks and highlights intersperesed. Towards the bottom of the piece blues and greens are introduced sparingly, and again in the trc where a bit of sky is blue. There are light clouds in the sky. One of the central clouds seems to be hiding the sun which is casting a ray of light onto the mountains.
