A smoothly carved plaster bird (partridge or grouse) with a small leather crest on top of its head and metal legs. The bird has a red head with a white stripe around each eye that extends to encircle the head and neck, dark grey body, white belly and a red stripe under each wing. The bird stands on a round slice of tree branch or trunk. The bottom marked with a maker’s mark “HAL” joined together and “70.”
