On the left is part of a large red-brick house with a dark brown roof. To its right is a small ochre coloured building. On the right-hand side is a white and light grey tent outlined in dark blue. The near shore slopes slightly from the left to the right side, then swings upwards towards the upper left corner to form a small bay. A second bay lies behind the first. The bays contain bright blue water with ochre reflections. The middleground contains buildings upon the bay shore across from the tent. The houses are placed and coloured in a Cezanne manner.
