Earle Birney, 1904-1995, was a writer, poet and educator at Toronto, Ontario. Birney lived in Banff from 1911 until 1917.

Textual records are excerpts from the Earle Birney papers pertaining to Banff and the Canadian Rockies; including correspondence, 1918-1924, biographical material, 1971, drafts of poems, 1941-1952, printed material, 1948-1970, and Birney family correspondence, 1896-1917.
