Bagley, 1858-1945, was a North West Mounted Police officer before retiring to Banff, Alberta. -- Manuscript is a dramatized account of a 1879 case involving a Cree First Nation man hanged for murder and cannibalization of his family at Fort Saskat- chewan in the North West Territories. Bagley guarded the prisoner. Manuscript was written many years after the crime. -- Gift of Muriel Gratz, 1969.

Allen, 1874-1945, was a mountaineer from Philadelphia, U.S.A. who first visited the Rockies and Selkirks in 1891. He returned in 1893 to climb in the Lake Louise area with Walter D. Wilcox, a fellow Yale student. Allen explored Paradise Valley and in subsequent years explored the Moraine Lake, Valley of the Ten Peaks and Lake O'Hara regions, making numerous ascents and assigning many Stoney Nakoda names to geographic features. Soon after, his career was cut short by mental illness. -- Papers are last will and testament and probate proceedings. -- Gift of Mary Ann Kae, 1985.

Percy Moreland May (1886-1966) was born in Birkenhead, England and came to Canada in 1925. Visited the Rockies ca. 1933. Percy M. May had painted with A. Y. Jackson, knew Arthur Lismer and regularly exhibited his works with the Montreal Arts Club.

Marjorie Youhill, born c.1910s, was born, raised, and worked in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She was a Christian Scientist, had one stepsister, and never married. Marjorie retired in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, where she died at the Glengarry Hospital. She left her financial estate to Loreen Dunklee, her cousin.
