Percy Moreland May (1886-1966) was born in Birkenhead, England and came to Canada in 1925. Visited the Rockies ca. 1933. Percy M. May had painted with A. Y. Jackson, knew Arthur Lismer and regularly exhibited his works with the Montreal Arts Club.

History / Biographical
Robert Parsons lived in Banff and attended school in Banff until Grade 9 when his father, a stationary engineer, was transferred from the Banff Springs Hotel to the Palliser Hotel in Calgary. Parsons then attended high school in Calgary and joined the Sea Cadets. He joined the Navy at the age of seventeen and at age nineteen he was sent to the war in Korea aboard HMCS Sioux. After serving 27 years with the Navy, Parsons retired with the rank of Petty Officer first class and enrolled in a college course called Project Loyalist which assisted retiring NCO's with the shift back into the civilian workforce. After completing the course of studies, Parson's was awarded a Mechanical Engineering Diploma on the Dean's list. Parson's was employed with Noranda in Arnprior as Metallurgical Laboratory Supervisor and later worked at Spar Aerospace as Senior Technologist in the manufacture of satellites.
Parson's retired from the workforce in 1995.

Allen, 1874-1945, was a mountaineer from Philadelphia, U.S.A. who first visited the Rockies and Selkirks in 1891. He returned in 1893 to climb in the Lake Louise area with Walter D. Wilcox, a fellow Yale student. Allen explored Paradise Valley and in subsequent years explored the Moraine Lake, Valley of the Ten Peaks and Lake O'Hara regions, making numerous ascents and assigning many Stoney Nakoda names to geographic features. Soon after, his career was cut short by mental illness. -- Papers are last will and testament and probate proceedings. -- Gift of Mary Ann Kae, 1985.
