History / Biographical
John Marsh is Professor of Geography at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. Marsh completed his Ph.D. thesis: "Man, Landscape and Recreation in Glacier National Park, British Columbia, 1880 to present," at the University of Calgary, in 1971. He specializes in research on National Parks and conservation and has written extensively on parks, wilderness and recreation. Marsh published "A History of Glacier House and Nakimu Caves, Glacier National Park, British Columbia" (Peterborough: Canadian Recreation Services) in 1979.
