Ray Wardell, 1922-1994, was an engineer at Banff, Alberta, Canada from 1948 until 1958, and lived at Oakville, Ontario until his death. Wardell worked on early construction at Mount Norquay ski area and rose to the position of Superintendent of Construction and Maintenance for the Banff Chairlift Corporation.

Images pertain to skiing and ski jumping, canoeing, Banff Indian Days, the King Edward Hotel, swimming at the Cave and Basin, the Banff Winter Carnival, wildlife, and various views in and around the town of Banff.
Joseph (Joe) Robert Brown, 1869-1936, came to Banff in 1888 and settled permanently in 1905. He worked as a federal government employee. One of his sons, John James Brown, 1906-1956, remained in Banff.
