- A rectangular faced barometer on a shaped piece of solid wood. There is a silver frame around the glass face and a silver knob at centre securing two indicator arrows. The face is scaled from “26" to “31" in increments of ten with a “5” indicating the halfway point between each number. Appropriate points of the dial indicate “Changeable”, “Fair”, “Very Dry”, “Stormy” and “Rain”. There is an adjustment screw through the wood on the back with a keyhole bracket for hanging. The face of the barometer is marked “Compensated” and “Henry Birks & Sons Limited”.

Casing rim ridged for gripping and rotation of altitude dial, inner dial, under crystal, is fixed and indicates barometric pressure in inches of mercury. Instrument is an aneroid barometer and needle varies with changes in atmospheric pressure, whether by change of altitude or change of weather. On dial face are following marks "rain change fair...compensated. Harrison & Co. Montreal, Made in England". On back of instrument casing is screw adjustment to correct for local conditions. Barometric pressure range is 17 to 31, altitude 0 to 16,000 feet.

Base is natural brown in simple basket weave at centre with each piece of cedar split where the base of the basket turns to form sides and then worked in birdcage technique of weaving where a coil is laid inside this frame of split cedar and the individual pieces of cedar are tied in to each of the coils by a series of twined stitches.

There is also a cut out tree and a waterhole. Six sets of small free standing pegs of different colours are the game pieces. Five sets of 12 are in small cardboard boxes, the sixth set has 11 pegs and are in a small "Brunswick Reinforcements" box. A fold over sheet of instructions. The game is played with dice however there are none included with the game. A green plaid cardboard box with the same picture on the front holds the game.
