- Japanese, large articulated changing doll, woman, fully clothed. Face, feet and hands made of plaster, body and legs of plastered wood, articulated at neck, elbows, hips, knees and ankles. Elbows to shoulders cloth covered wire for easy movements. Inset, open grey eyes, red lips open slightly to show white teeth. Fancy hairdo with one blue and one red tie dyed scarf, hair inset into head. Silver ornament stuck into hairdo at front. A paper band is glued around her waist with Japanese writing: "Dollmaker - Eitoku-sai of Kyoto; Tokyo, Nihon-Bashi-Doli 10 store shops. Doll has sewn red silk long-sleeved underwear. Collar decorated with tie-dyed silk sewn on. Outerwear: double-sewn: outside, long-sleeved autumn flowers and red maple leaves. Basting stitches never removed. Red tie-dyed sash 104.0 x 6.5.

- Two different lorgnette straps, one of ribbon, one of cord. (a) narrow, black, grosgrain ribbon, gold hooks and clasps at ends. Tiny, oval, silver buckle slide secured by two very sharp, short, curved prongs in the middle holds ribbon together. Marks: stamped into each flat eye, on swivel hook, and on ring bolt, "14k" with diamond shaped hallmark on the eyes, series of numbers and letters scratched on back of silver buckle. (b) braided, black cord, long loop with two small, gold slides which clamp around each side and can be moved along length of cord. Small, gold caps at the ends of the loop are fastened together through a small gold ring which in turn is attached to a ring bolt clasp. Sliding clamps have pierced design of oval with four petalled flower inside. Gold coloured fittings are likely brass.

Textured design cut into central 1.8 cm length around each prong, and also at top around arch and extending 1.4 cm down each leg. Small, sharp bit of metal at top of hairpin indicates that a decorative piece there may have been broken off. Ends of prongs have small sharp spikes.

Grid covers green wire mesh glued onto inside of cupboard, the two wooden framed grids covering green wire mesh in front are both movable side to side, the left one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, nearest the front. The right one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved the width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, located behind the aforementioned one two drawers are located side by side at the bottom of the cupboard, 6.81 x 1.7h x 5.8w. Both pull out by way of round white knobs. Cupboard set onto four legs of wooden scroll design in front, plain at back. Located on the inside of the cupboard are two shelves, 2.91 x 7.0w. The left handed one is set lower then the other, 3.2 from bottom, flush to the left side grid. The right handed one is set higher then the other, 6.0 from the bottom, flush to the right side grid.

- Silver coloured guardhouse on raised platform with ladde, 1.9 x 1.6w, leading up to platform , 4.21 x 4.1w, raised off base by twelve pillars, 1.5h, and completely enclosed by a fence , 1.0h, except for a gate, 3.9h x 1.5w, located center front. Rectangular sign at top of gate reads "East of Water customs" translated from Chinese. In front of the guardhouse on the platform is a man, 1.5h, to the left and a flagpole, 7.3h, to the right. Flag, 92.1 x 1.5w, on top of flagpole reads "Dedication..."translated from Chinese. Guardhouse is rectangular, 2.21 x 2.8w x 3.2h, with two windows located on the back wall, 0.4w x 0.3h, and one window, 0.5 x 0.4h, located on each side wall. Front of guardhouse is partially open with a door opening center front, 1.0w x 3.0h, and two windows, 0.9w x 1.81, one on each side of door with one lantern hung at top of each. Below windows are half walls, 0.9w x 1.81h, partially enclosing front. Inside of guardhouse is gold coloured with a gold coloured man to the right and a gold coloured alter located against center back wall with Chinese poem inscribed into wall above alter. Two doors are located on back wall with one each side of alter.
