(a) smaller - four pearls alternated with three sapphires, prong fitting holding sapphires quite solid, clasp is simple hook. (b) longer - five sapphires alternating with four pearls. Prong fitting holding sapphires quite open, almost being four legs on which each stone rests. Pearl of uniform size but slightly irregular in shape. Hook clasp has simple locking mechanism.

Filigree follows small, triangular, leaf shape on either side of the sapphires. Solid areas sharply engraved to pick up light and sparkle. Back gold colour. - Small round twined basket with rounded base and high sides closing in slightly at the mouth, natural buff colour background with brown design and black accents, design repeated three times around sides is of four brown parallelograms stacked on one another in stairlike fashion moving up to the right, with serrated edges of black-tipped triangles along the sides and narrow black lines between each parallelogram. Between each steplike series on the buff background is an oblique double zig-zag line running from bottom to top of the basket. Lip is finished with three rows of twining of a lighter brown colour, pattern not visible on inside. Paper tag rimmed with metal is attached with cord and wax through lip of basket; no writing is visible.

Short, looped bead tassel from bottom, lining of pink, constructed as (a), with pink drawstring tied in bows each end. (c) green , overall pattern of green leaves within diamond shapes on ecru coloured, crocheted net background. Small beaded, looped tassel at bottom. Crocheted loops at top hold green cord double drawstring which is knotted at the ends. Edge of top and circle at bottom of green beads of different shades, lined with green satin. - A fireplace bellows with each side made from wood cut in a tear shape. There are two flat rectangular handles cut at the blunt end and the pointed end has a long, tapering, protruding metal tube. A leather diaphragm between the two sides is tacked along the edges of the wood and pleated over two small round branches bent to follow shape of wooden sides. There is leather strapping on one side of the wood at the pointed end as reinforcement. A round hole is cut in the middle of other side of wood, and fitted with a metal collar, and has a leather disphragm inside for air intake.
