The hat has a metal crest, on the left side of the hat, in the shape of an open wreath with a crown and a stag's head in the centre. The crest bears the motto “By Dand”, the motto of the Clan Gordon. The hat has streamers attached to the back, and a small red pom-pom on top.

The medal is attached to a green and yellow ribbon that is topped with a silver bar marked "Canada" on the face, and inscribed "Major P.A. Moore" on the reverse. (c) A bronze coloured medal (5.0 x 4.5 cm) with crossed swords on 3 rays that is overlaid with a wreath. The date "1914-15" is across centre of the crosses swords. Imp” on one side, and a horseman stamping on a shield and skull and the dates “1914 “1918” on other. This medal is hanging from a bar at the end of a blue, black, white and gold striped ribbon. There is a spare piece of this ribbon. The second medal is a general service bronze coloured medal with a winged victory holding a large feather on one side and “The Great War for Civilization 1914-19” inside a bound wreath on the other side. This medal is hanging from the point of a rainbow coloured ribbon. There is a spare piece of this ribbon. b) Another medal set, similar to (a), but with a conveyance paper and a square cardboard box to hold the medals. Both of these medals are engraved with “Major F.A. Brewster”.c) A set of four miniature medals, measuring 6.5 cm wide by 5.8 cm high, attached to ribbons that are sewn together on a metal bar pin. A collection of pin sets from Alberta and Winnipeg regiments: a) One brass pin (4.7 x 3.7 cm) cut out in the shape of the Alberta coat of arms (mountains in lower half and cross in upper) with four windmill sails behind and maple leaf on either side. A banner below the shield reads "Depot Battn, Alberta Regiment". There is a crown at the top of the pin with "Canada" below it.b-f) Five pins (3.1 x 2.6 cm) with the same design as (a), but these pins are smaller and shinier. g) One brass pin (3.9 x 4.0 cm) in the shape of a maple leaf with the Alberta coat of arms in middle and crown atop the coat of arms. A banner below the coat of arms reads "Alberta Overseas Batt'y XXXI".h-j) Three pins (3.9 x 2.9) with the same design as (h), but smaller in size. k-l) Two pins (3.5 x 3.8) in the shape of a maple leaf with a coat-of-arms at the centre containing three wheat sheaves in bottom half, and a train engine in the top half surmounted by a buffalo. A banner underneath the coat of arms reads "City of Winnipeg XXVIII Batt'n".
