The trunk is fastened with two snap latches and a central circular locking latch. The trunk has two stacking lift out trays inside as well as organizational dividers in the bottom section. Description
Multiple studies of some area related to travel (i.e. airport, train station, dock, etc.). Near the BLC there multiple people drawn walking in different directions, most of which are pushing their luggage on trolleys/carts or carrying their bags. Near the middle of the paper there is mostly pencil drawings of different types of luggage being sketched out. Near the centre right edge there is a drawing of one person pushing multiple bags and trunk on a trolley/cart, to the right of this there is a sketch of what appears to be mans torso and below this there is quick scribbles of ink. Near the TRC there is a person pushing a trolley/cart with multiple luggage. To the left of this drawing in the TRC there is a larger study of a group of people waiting with their baggage and a conveyor belt being manned by some worker. One of the figures waiting appears to have dropped some of their baggage.

Description
A large suitcase wardrobe of greenish coarsely woven fabric laminated to a wooden form, trimmed with leather, having a handle at the end and another at the side, and with brass fittings. Three striped white bands encircle the case lengthwise in the middle, with a bold red and black stripe girding across its width. Edges are trimmed with heavy leather, and handles are of leather. Single brass fitting on each long side, and two at the handle end with large brass locking latch between. Four small button feet at hinged end, opposite handled end , and four larger button feet on one large side to support when opened. Many rectangular heavy canvas patches are glued to suitcase. Large "Southampton" sticker at top," and remnants of a few others which have been torn, off. Lid is cut at angle. Interior lined with watered light green moire. Base of case compartmentalized, and covered with a curtain backed with tan felt which snaps at back of the case. The lid of the case has a bracket at the top holding two large wooden hangers for suits and dresses. Two elasticized straps fasten across to hold garments in place. Another curtain falls down to cover the garments on the lid hangers. Two silver coloured keys "123" fastened with a loop of string to the side handle, fit the latch at the end which is also numbered "123". Lid is supported by two metal braces while open.
