- Two checkers sets of folding cardboard checkerboards and flat cardboard box of red and black checkers. Boards fold in half with paper hinge to open flat and are backed with black. (a) red and black board, eight rows of eight squares alternating red and black outlined with white. Red, white and black striped band border with crown symbols at each corner. (b) yellow and green board, as (a) but squares outlined in black and border of a series of three green palmate leaves inside small half circles all the way around. "made in U.S.A" printed on yellow square in both corners. (c) checkers, in multicoloured box, "Checkers by Halsam" showing checkerboard of green and yellow checks and "Set no. 518/24 contents 24 pieces. Contains twelve red and twelve black round, flat wooden disks, each depicting three shooting stars around a globe on one side and two dotted circles around the centre on the obverse. (d) checkers, in red and black box with yellow "Peerless" across top, and at each end, "Made in Canada by the Copp Clark Co. Ltd.
