Content includes two copies [one printed and one scanned duplicate] of published text "The Diary of Deacon Elihu Woodworth 1835 - 1836", published 1972; several letters sent to Maud and Forest Kidney pertaining to their golden wedding anniversary in 1973, the wedding of Jane Ruth McConville and John Philip Malton, a ceremony marking the naming of Mount Jimmy Simpson in 1974, and a letter to Karin MacAulay from her friend Joyce; booklets/programmes for events held by the Southern Alberta Pioneers' and Old Timers' Association, the Banff Figure Skating Club, and the Banff Community High School's 1979 graduation ceremony; news clippings describing local events and the obituary of Ted MacAulay, 1984; pamphlets for Roadside mountain Trophy Hunts; and notes on the Kidney family tree and Woodworth family burial sites.

It gives access to the excellent, moderate mountaineering challenges of Peyto and Trapper Peaks, and Mts. Baker, Thompson and Rhondda, all of which are popular ascents in both summer and winter. The hut is cozy for groups up to 18 (16 in winter) and has amazing views across the icefields. The hut has no source of heat but it is well insulated and warms up nicely from the propane stoves. The hut is situated on a bit of a moraine at the base of Mt. Thompson, but all access routes to the hut involve glacier travel. The easiest access is the 3-4 hour trip from the Bow Hut. Access from the Highway is via Peyto Lake and takes 5-8 hours. Peyto Hut Fact: The first Peyto Hut was a fiberglass igloo built in the late 1960’s. It was wrecked by wolverines."

- Ptarmigan Peak is located in Banff National Park in the Skoki Lakes region, near Lake Louise, AB. Ptarmigan Peak is part of the Slate Range of the Rocky Mountains. The peak was named in 1909 by Joseph W. A. Hickson who made the first ascent of the Peak along with Edward Feuz.
