- Caribou lying with hind legs folded and front legs folded under chest; detail on head and at tail, smoothly shaped. Two long, forked antlers [made from caribou antler] are removable, underside reveals carved hind hooves. Syllabics and 1592 scratched on base; Simotic label removed from bottom. Deciphering of syllabics on bottom indicated spellings of Simaotik or Simautik and are presumed to be the same Port Harrison artist as Simotic indicated on this piece, reference Sculpture/Inuit, U. of Toronto Press, Item #403 and Sculpture of the Eskimo, Swinton, Geo., items 132, 255.

(c) float 2.7x5.5x2.6, sinew tied into pack ca. 21.0 long and looped into (g) harpoon 10.5 long. (d) seal 2.0x5.3x2.0 has a hole drilled into back with a peg to go into kayak. - A goose is sitting back on its haunches, neck bent over in a graceful swoop so that its head is quite near its feet. It has a form in its mouth that extends to under its feet, forming the base of the sculpture. Wing shapes are carved on both sides, 3 toenails on each webbed foot, eyes and nostrils are incised. A light scraped shape begins behind the eyes and goes under its head. The shape coming out of its mouth is incised into fine lines. Peter - Pov and 72008 scratched into bottom.
