- File pertains to a photograph album depicting a summer 1926 trip organized by Caroline Hinman to the Canadian Rockies and a hunting trip from Wilson's Ranch in September, 1926. The summer trip, made on horseback and by dogsled, began in Seebe, Alberta and ended at Lake Windermere, British Columbia, working through Banff National Park via Lake Louise, Abbot Pass, and the Lake O'Hara region. Includes scenic views of mountains, waterfalls, glaciers, camps, horses, dogs, and people - many of whom are reffered to by their initials or married names (in the case of some women). The hunting trip was possibly organized by Tom Wilson out of his Kananaskis Ranch. The party travelled north in the direction of the Saskatchewan River. Includes pictures of camps, horses, pack trains, snowfall, mountains, rivers, and people - does not include photographs of hunted animals. Also includes a single photograph of The Learned's House in Newbury Port, Massachusetts, enlargements from Rocky Mountain trips, and various cards from The Vincents and Florence Dibell Bartlett. Lantern slides pertain to the Lake of the Hanging Glacier area; Columbia Icefield; various views in and around Banff, Yoho, Glacier, and Jasper National Parks; Mount Robson area. Subjects also included Stoney First Naitons peoples. PS-189 is the only hand-tinted slide in this range - it is marked as being made by the Canadian Pacific Railway. There are 2 individual panes included at the end of the range; one is labeled "ACC Pack Train Field BC" and the other "Waterfowl Lakes." They have no accompanying photograph. File accompanied by a typed text paper dated 18 November 1926 and signed by Louis S. Crosby in regards to 63 slides recieved from Byron Harmon to be returned in good condition.
