Both doors have locks and keys. The clock has a round etched metal face with brass numerals and a brass plate in the middle with finely wrought black iron hands. There are dials to measure seconds and regulate the chime, and an arch over the face contains two hemispheres, and a painted ship and moon on a moving wheel beneath.

Most of the warp ends, or fringe, have become untwisted. Tapestry has a woven patch 5.5 x 4.5 cm. on length wise edge, although technique and pattern are the same as tapestry, the colours used are distinctly different, grey, pink and green. The patch appears to be sewn on top of original work as there is no sign of it on the back side. Stitching has become fragile with age, one corner is severely frayed, stitching between warp threads has broken in several spots on the two width wise ends.
