Items for sale: 1 big woven chicken coop, 2 medium sized chicken coops, 1 big woven basket with one end open for chaffiing, 1 medium sized flat sparrow coop, 3 smaller flat sparrow coops, several carrying baskets, sieves of various gratings, various wooden dustpans, 1 fish basket, 3 hand brushes, scrub brushes. The shopkeeper was probably a basket weaver as well.

She has a patterned kimono with red in pattern and lining, wearing blue thongs, hair piled high with a red tie dyed scarf, china face. Open mouth show white teeth, china hands. Many and varied insect boxes displayed, very finely crafted, all secured to framework. The black boxes are for displaying fireflies. The shopkeeper is also secured to the display. - Traditional Japanese house model. 2 storey wood construction which disassembles into 10 pieces. The rectangular base is raised slightly above ground level by a narrower under base. 12 wood and paper, and 2 wooden lattice work sliding panels open up to verandas on each level, front and back. 1 hinged door of wood and paper in front, roof is peaked with exterior ride pole and no decoration. The 2 sides of the roof are held together by a piece of tape which acts like a hinge. Inside a raised platform spans the width and 3/4 the length of the main floor. The second floor is made from a single thin slab of wood. "Made in Japan" is stamped onto tape on roof, both bases, the second floor, the front and back walls and the free standing partition. Upper middle class house for family of 4 or 8. Upstairs, sleeping quarters, 6 or 4 separate rooms divided by sliding, removable) doors, 2 rooms used for sleeping , 2 or 3 per room. 1 room reserved for special living room ? with "Tokono-Ma". where hanging scroll hangs, and where flower arrangement is weekly changed. 1 room used for Buddhism altar. 6 feet high, 2 1/2 feet wide. with ancestors after death names, etc. Altar flower is changed every week. Steamed rise is presented every morning. Any special gift, especially food, cakes, cookis, etc. is placed in front of this altar before anyone unwraps it. Those 2 rods are used for overnight company with the best hudon and so forth. All the rooms could be turned into one large banquet room. Downstairs, 2 rooms , on the floor, and kitchen on the dirt floor? 1 room , living room and eating room, during the day, sleeping room for a couple during the night? 1 room, further from the main road and the better room during the day, sleeping room during the night?

Grid covers green wire mesh glued onto inside of cupboard, the two wooden framed grids covering green wire mesh in front are both movable side to side, the left one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, nearest the front. The right one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved the width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, located behind the aforementioned one two drawers are located side by side at the bottom of the cupboard, 6.81 x 1.7h x 5.8w. Both pull out by way of round white knobs. Cupboard set onto four legs of wooden scroll design in front, plain at back. Located on the inside of the cupboard are two shelves, 2.91 x 7.0w. The left handed one is set lower then the other, 3.2 from bottom, flush to the left side grid. The right handed one is set higher then the other, 6.0 from the bottom, flush to the right side grid.

- An ornate, engraved, gold pocket watch with separate winding stem. (a) watch, completely engraved around edge, stem bracket, and fob ring, with scrolled vines. Back textured with spiral crosshatching and plain shield shaped plaque at centre surrounded by engraved flowers and vines, gold framed front crystal opens. Porcelain dial beneath with delicate Roman numerals, a recessed circular second dial at bottom, and hair like wire hands. Back of case also hinged to open, ornately engraved plate beneath, two places for winding and setting hands. Marks: inside back cover, "18, hallmark, 21547", engraved plate, "F. Cooper, London, detached lever, thirteen jewels" . (b) winding stem, long, stemmed key with square hole in end to fit winding knobs, and oval shaped handle at top. Small ball around stem at middle allows key to be turned without twisting fob ring attached. Watch runs but hands cannot be set.
