(b) dirk, steel bladed with copper handle with relief casting of brass dragon on one side. (c) scabbard, slightly curved wood covered with black enamel containing green flecks, blunt end, top of scabbard has slot on one side leading to pocket in scabbard to accommodate small dirk. Hide is trimmed at edge of hoop with four long strips of the hide evenly spaced around edge extending toward centre of back of drum and pulled tightly across centre with thick twisted cord. Skin has been sewn together with sinew along one side of hoop frame extending 6 cm into face of drum. Drum skin has been stained red with large grey owl with yellow wings and red features sitting at centre.

To the belt have been added rectangles of catlinite, each of which has been thonged to the belt proper, and each of which bears a different image, geometric motif canoe turtle geometric bird buffalo skull heart with arrow tepee and geometric design. Alternating with catlinite are commercial brass buttons in five different designs, two of which have eagle's heads on them, one of which shows a hound chasing a rabbit into a stump, and the other six bearing an impressed geometric pattern.

The mollusk hinge is very crude and appears to have been broken away, there are two circles on either side of hinge where the wood is missing. Turtle is dark hardwood, shell is black lacquered wood.
