Brass plates either side at top for securing with pins, sliding ground glass focus screen. Black ink lines drawn on glass (27.5x25.9) tongues top and bottom for insertion on back holder locking pin top.

- Japanese food storage cupboard. Rectangular shaped cupboard, solid wood back and top with wood grid sides and front. Wooden grid sides are immovable, 7.1h x 4.5w, and has wooden frame, 0.5w. Grid covers green wire mesh glued onto inside of cupboard, the two wooden framed grids covering green wire mesh in front are both movable side to side, the left one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, nearest the front. The right one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved the width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, located behind the aforementioned one two drawers are located side by side at the bottom of the cupboard, 6.81 x 1.7h x 5.8w. Both pull out by way of round white knobs. Cupboard set onto four legs of wooden scroll design in front, plain at back. Located on the inside of the cupboard are two shelves, 2.91 x 7.0w. The left handed one is set lower then the other, 3.2 from bottom, flush to the left side grid. The right handed one is set higher then the other, 6.0 from the bottom, flush to the right side grid.

- A Japanese samurai sword with black cord handle and black scabbard. (a) sword, long curved steel blade connected at hilt with brass to wooden handle covered with white pebbly sharkskin which shows through diamond shapes left open under silk cord which wraps handle. Metal band at base of hilt and metal cap at its end have relief casting of leaves and blossoms, and a bronze casting of blossoms is caught under black cord wrapping handle, oval sword guard has cut out relief of branches and blossoms, with holes on either side large enough to allow dirk to pass through. (b) dirk, long thin blade set into brass handle with cast relief of heron standing in stream with incised bushes around. Japanese calligraphy on other side of handle. (c) scabbard, slightly curved to fit blade. Wood covered with fine grained leather with narrow black band, horn? at mouth and another at top of slit pocket where dirk slides in. - A folding, wooden, drying rack which opens to form a high rack. Five separate frames made up of 3.0 x 2.0 square pieces of wood on the side with long dowel rods between through holes drilled in the side pieces. Frames hinged together with plywood braces which swing around the dowel rods to which they are attached, legs open in triangular shape and are held in place with plywood bars which swing around the third dowel and hook over the corresponding dowel on the other side. Arms swing up to form V-shape on top which is held in place by the fifth frame swinging over to form the top, and hooking over the top dowel of the other arm by means of small notches cut in its side pieces. - An ornate, inlaid, mandolin with flat back in black fibreboard case. (a) mandolin, a traditional pear shaped mandolin with flat back and four sets of paired metal strings attached to eight tuning pegs at the end of the neck which has metal frets and inlaid nacre position marks. Marquetry band around edge, of nacre alternated with dark wood, and narrow border just inside than on the belly of light wood with dark wood inlaid pattern. Shell plate around oval sound hole of dark wood inlaid with delicate flowers and leaves of pastel coloured woods. Small, thin, metal tailpiece is etched with scroll design. Belly gold brown varnished wood, remainder stained dark red brown. Marks: large round paper label inside, "See the name Barnes & Mullins is stamped on your instrument as guarantee Barnes & Mullins London. Handwritten, "282", and the initials, "AW" (Annie White). Note: two pieces of nacre missing from edge, belly split from side one quarter of way around on bottom left, belly cracked to right of centre from tailpiece to sounding hole, inlaid shell plate cracked and nicked on right side.( b) pick, small, fat, pear shaped brown tortoise shell, paper thin and stiff. (c) case, black fibreboard, essentially the shape of the mandolin, with semicircular lid at round, wide end. Lid has leather hinge on one side, and leather flap at other with metal latch which fastens into round plate on the side beneath. Lock opens by pulling down on button sticking out of keyhole. Case stitched together with heavy black cord, lined completely with red napped fabric, leather strap handle on side opposite lock. Note: one semicircular side of lid gone other side separated completely, leather faded and scuffed, edges scuffed and becoming unstitched in places, lining pulling away at edges.
