- A rust-coloured felt wool hat with a rounded crown (bowler style) and slightly turned up brim. There is a narrow green hat band (1.5cm wide) and the same green material sewn around the brim (2.5cm wide), and also a separate gold-coloured cord with two wool tassels on the ends. Part of the hat band, viewer’s left, is shaped as a bow and sewn down; the gold-coloured cord is also shaped as a bow and sewn over the hat band. Above the bow, slightly to the left, are two air holes (1.5cm apart, surrounded by orange painted metal) for ventilation, however, the opposite two ventilation holes, viewer’s right, are missing the metal covering. Inside there is a dark brown leather sweatband and printed on it ”SUPERIOR QUALITY” under that in script “King Hat” and printed below “INDUSTRIA PERUANA”.

Grid covers green wire mesh glued onto inside of cupboard, the two wooden framed grids covering green wire mesh in front are both movable side to side, the left one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, nearest the front. The right one, 8.6h x 6.3w, fits into the groove, carved the width of the insides of both the top and bottom of the cupboard, located behind the aforementioned one two drawers are located side by side at the bottom of the cupboard, 6.81 x 1.7h x 5.8w. Both pull out by way of round white knobs. Cupboard set onto four legs of wooden scroll design in front, plain at back. Located on the inside of the cupboard are two shelves, 2.91 x 7.0w. - Description
- A Japanese samurai sword with black cord handle and black scabbard. (a) sword, long curved steel blade connected at hilt with brass to wooden handle covered with white pebbly sharkskin which shows through diamond shapes left open under silk cord which wraps handle. Metal band at base of hilt and metal cap at its end have relief casting of leaves and blossoms, and a bronze casting of blossoms is caught under black cord wrapping handle, oval sword guard has cut out relief of branches and blossoms, with holes on either side large enough to allow dirk to pass through. (b) dirk, long thin blade set into brass handle with cast relief of heron standing in stream with incised bushes around. Japanese calligraphy on other side of handle. (c) scabbard, slightly curved to fit blade. Wood covered with fine grained leather with narrow black band, horn? at mouth and another at top of slit pocket where dirk slides in. Pocket groove on one side near top to accommodate dirk, and semi-circular black piece of carved horn on opposite side, threaded through with flat braided black silk cord to tie scabbard to belt

- A bulky black box made of galvanized sheet metal folded over at the seams and rolled at the edges. Top is hinged at back and closes over small metal lip with hasp for locking at front. Three metal plates riveted to back have been cut off close to rivets with the two lower plates apparently having been joined together as a single piece of metal. Outside roughly painted black except for area that would have been covered by the strap of metal between the rivets in the back. Interior shows rusty rings on bottom and runs down sides.
