- A pair of two heavy black leather ski boots with a metal carrier. The ski boots have a thick sole and are laced up on the upper part of the heel. The front of the boots are laced up with a rubber loop which reads “vibram”, underneath the main tongue is another portion of the boot that is laced up with red shoe laces (the inner tongue). The rubber loop is connected to 8 silver hooks and six gold hooks. The inner liner of the boots are a light brown, on the outside edge of the interior of the boots is “9W” in handwriting. One boot (b) is slightly taller than the other at 19.4 cm. The metal carrier (c) has a hook at the top for carrying and two metal plates with six holes cut out. One side of the plate is inscribed with “ANDERSON & THOMPSON SEATTLE U.S.A”. The locking system is a screw-like mechanism with a piece of metal to hold the toes and a round knob that twists to lock the ski boots in. 38.3 x 5.0 x 6.7 cm

- A pair of brown leather, over-ankle, square-toed, unlined ski touring boots, with thick rubber soles (1.30cm on the sole, 2.50cm on the heel), a grooved heel for a cable, and seven grommeted eyelets with yellow and brown laces. There are straps sewn on both sides of the boots; one with a buckle and one with holes; a leather loop pull-off on the back of the heel and boots have felt sole liners. There is a white label with blue lettering on the tongue, right boot “PIONEER by Daoust” (in script). Also on the outside ankles, viewer’s left, left boot (b) and viewer’s right of right boot (a), above the ankle, is the number “9” handwritten in black indelible ink, also written on the tongue “9” on the left boot and above the label on the right boot. - Description
- A tan coloured canvas hood or helmet which fits like a bag over the head with a round hole, approx 11 cm diam, cut through for the eyes. Crown is circular and quilted with small squares to stiffen. Hood, which completely covers head except for hole cut for eyes, is seamed down the back of the neck is attached a long 59 cm canvas belt with small leather covered buckle at one end and metal grommets at the other. Inside front panel is completely lined with the same canvas material. Hole opening on the front shows evidence of another, green and ochre coloured, piece of fabric having been cut away, possibly a camouflage cloth covering the whole thing? Black cloth label inside front panel at bottom "Sporthaus Mizzi Langer-Kauba Wien VII"
