(a,aa) off white , knitted of lightweight wool in a straight tube with no shaping for the heel, wide 7 cm cuff of ribbing. Threaded through at the top with a heavy round elastic cord which is knotted at the ends. (b,bb) grey, heavy socks, thickly cabled around the leg with a triple cable, toe sole and heel plain. Ribbing cuff at top has been folded over to encase a piece of elastic, seamed to leg contour up back.
