A wide heavily beaded belt or bead strip, of heavy canvas with burgundy cotton backing. The beaded design is of conventional flowers in an overall symmetrical form mirroring from the centre of the belt, an orange yellow flower with green leaves, followed by, in sequence, a three petalled deep red and blue flower, two leaves, a white and pale blue flower, three yellow and green tulip shaped flowers, a deep red and vermillion flower and a long stalked branching flower with three buds of vermillion, yellow, and grey beads. Description
A heavily beaded belt (framed) of commercially tanned harness leather, wide strap. Design of sky blue ground with symmetrical figures on it, starting from one end, stepped oblique triangles in brown indigo turquoise and orange then stepped diamond with stepped crowns in pink blue and pink black rose then five rectangles in cross form, yellow centred and bordered by rust lengths and blue widths. Belt at one time had red bead border of which more than half is gone. Near one end there is a 2.5 centimeter tear. The belt body is two pieces of leather sewn together at the middle.
