Two sides of handles fit together with a flush, straight edge up the middle, ending in a curlicue finial at the centre top. (c) sheath, very heavy cast brass with plush lined pockets inside to accommodate the scissors and knife one atop the other. Relief design repeats organic curlicues, with heavy casting at end of cherubs entwined in curly leaves. Because of thickness of handles, scissors and knife do not both fit flush when together in sheath. 3 pieces.
