Fringes ca 13.0 x 0.8 sewn along top edge of beadwork, grey and red wool string ca 7.0 long, bound by thin strips of rawhide are in pairs down the seam ca 7.0 apart. 14.0 long fringes or bottom, 2 of which are 2.3 wide and have scalloped edges.Re: Chris Bashford’s description and evaluation December 23, 1986: An Athabascan fringed, hide gun scabbard with two bands of multi-coloured floral beading on a black velvet backing, a strip of red stroud cloth with wool tassels running along its length down one side.
