The microfilmed files relate to all the activities of national and historic parks administrations from 1911 to the mid-1960s. Some material on file precedes the years in which the registry system was in operation. For national parks, the files cover the establishment of parks, park townsite development, land leases and lease records which are filed by lot block number, wildlife, conservation, sports, tourism, campgrounds, forestry, roads, water power, wartime work camps, surveys, commercial development, forest fire prevention, lectures by park officials, interpretation services, public relations and other topics relating to the general park administration.

- Summary: In 1806 Metis guide Jacco Findlay was the first to blaze a packtrail over Howse Pass and the Continental Divide. He made a map for Canadian explorer David Thompson, who followed one year later. Jacco left the North West Company and became the first "Freeman" or "Otipemisiwak" in the Athabasca Valley. In 1907 the Canadian Government passed an Order in Council for the creation of the "Jasper Forest Park" enforcing the evacuation of the Metis in the Athabasca Valley. By 1909 guns were seized causing the community to surrender its homeland including Jacco's descendants. Six Metis families made their exodus after inhabiting the area for a century. This documentary, focuses on a 14-day return trip of the descendants of the evicted families, as well as Jacco's progeny. Storied are shared through the voices of family members as they reveal their struggle to preserve traditions and culture as Mountain Metis.

- "Kenojuak Ashevak shot to fame in 1970 when Canada Post printed The Enchanted Owl, a print of a black-and-red plumed nocturnal bird, on a postage stamp. She later became known as the magic-marker-wielding 'grandmother of Inuit art,' famous for her fluid graphic storytelling and her stunning depictions of wildlife. She was a defining figure in Inuit art and one of the first Indigenous artists to be embraced as a contemporary Canadian artist. Ashevak's legacy inspired her nephew, Timootee (Tim) Pitsiulak, to take up drawing at the Kinngait Studios. In his relatively short career, he became a popular figure, known for drawing animal figures with a hunter's precision and capturing the technological presence of the South in Nunavut. Tunirrusiangit, 'their gifts' or 'what they gave' in Inuktitut, celebrates the achievements of two remarkable artists who challenged the parameters of tradition while consistently articulating a compelling vision of the Inuit world view. Published to coincide with a major exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario, opening on 16 June and continuing until late August, Tunirrusiangit features more than 60 reproductions of paintings, drawings, and documentary photographs.
