- Gilbert M. Atkin, 1877-1969, came to Banff in 1905 shortly after completion of postgraduate studies in medicine. He first worked with Dr. Brett and continued to practice medicine in Banff, where he raised his family. During the First World War, Atkin served in the Canadian Army Medical Corps.

- Raphel (Ray) Bagley, 1880-1973, was a rancher and guide in the Red Deer, Onion Lake and Coleman districts of Alberta, Canada. Bagley came to the Lacombe district of Alberta in 1892. He homesteaded and ranched while guiding with the Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies and conducting private trail rides throughout the southern Rockies from Waterton Lakes National Park to Banff National Park. Bagley wrote poems on western and trail riding themes, self-publishing a volume titled "Those Other Days" in 1969.

- Sydney R. Vallance, 1891-1979, was a lawyer and mountaineer at Calgary and Banff, Alberta, Canada. Vallance began his law career in 1920, establishing a private practice in 1929. He joined the Alpine Club of Canada in 1932 and held executive positions at both the section and national levels, including a term as President from 1947 to 1950. He made over one hundred ascents during his climbing career. Vallance was also a member of the Skyline Trail Hikers of the Canadian Rockies and was an avid amateur photographer

- The Banff Public Library, also known as the Banff Library, was initially sponsored by local service groups in various premises, including the Banff Clinic, 1949-1961, a home on the Whyte property, 1961-1967, and in the Peter and Catharine Whyte Foundation building (now Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies) from 1968-1985. In 1985, the Banff Public Library relocated to the lower floor of the new Banff Library/Seniors Centre, and in 1990 the library came under the jurisdiction of the new Town of Banff.

After that time it operated in association with the Recreation and Culture Department of what is now the Town of Banff. - History / Biographical
- Charlie Beil, 1894-1976, was an artist at Banff, Alberta, Canada. Beil pursued his interest in art after meeting artist Charlie Russell in Glacier Park, Montana, USA. Prior to that, he worked as a cowboy and served in the U.S. Cavalry. Beil came to Banff in 1930 and settled there permanently in 1934. He established a studio and began to produce murals, dioramas and bronze sculptures. Beil was well-known for the latter and was active as an artist until his death. Charles Beil married Olive Luxton (1915-1983), ca.1940.

- Fonds consists of letters, 1929-1972, including letters to Leslie Peters, 1929-1972 and Julius Peters, 1931-1938; Christmas cards from Beil to members of the Peters family; miscellaneous brochures, pamphlets, etc. illustrated with Beil's works; photographs. Papers discuss Banff Winter Carnival ice sculptures, Olive Beil, Grey Owl, and Beil's life and work as an artist, particularly in the 1930s and 1940s as he was becoming established in Banff. Photographs pertain to paintings, models and sculptures by Charlie Beil; also Calgary Stampede, Banff and Sunshine area views.

- Fred C. Bell, 1883-1971, was a physician, hospital administrator, mountaineer and officer of the Alpine Club of Canada. He lived at Winnipeg, Manitoba and Vancouver, British Columbia. Marcella E. Bell was also a mountaineer and Alpine Club member.

Bell, 1956; copies of sympathy letters to Mrs. Bell, 1971; Marcella Bell notes and papers; articles and Banff-Mt. Assiniboine Walking Tour brochure written or annotated by A. O. Wheeler; publications re the Canadian National Parks Association, 1924-1925; some clippings. Photographic prints pertain to mountaineering and Alpine Club of Canada camps, including photographs of Nora Bell, sister of Fred Bell; views of Banff, 1903; and scenic views of Banff and Lake Louise areas, ca.1902-ca.1912. One album pertains to Fred C. Bell and Alpine Club of Canada, 38 prints; other album contains snapshots of ACC clubhouse at Banff, 1963, by Marcella Bell, 11 prints.
