- Banff National Park Municipal Hospital District No. 71, established 1955, administered hospital taxation at Banff, Alberta, Canada. Construction of a new hospital would only proceed with the support of the community through the Province of Alberta's "Dollar a Day Plan". A successful plebiscite in 1955 provided the necessary local support for a municipal hospital district and the new Mineral Springs Hospital building opened in 1958. From 1955 until his death in 1959, R. E. W. (Ralph) Edwards was Secretary-Treasurer of the Banff National Park Municipal Hospital District.
