- This painting is of a mountain scene. There is a row of mountains which make up 2/3 of the painting and are cropped at either side of the piece. These mountains are painted with mostly greys and greenish blues. Above the row of mountains is a small portion of blue-grey sky. At the base of the mountains a lake and foreground make up the other 1/3 of the piece with the foreground being twice the size of the portion of visible lake. On the brc and blc are shrubby looking trees painted in a dark colour. The foreground is very rocky and painted with browns, greens and a terra-cotta colour.
