According to the Alpine Club of Canada's website, the Mount Colin Centennial Hut is located in Jasper National Park at the base of the Southwest Face of Mount Colin. Located close by are Mounts Colin and CR6. The ACC states: "With a thorough renovation in the summer of 1999, the Colin Hut is a clean and efficient shelter which sleeps 6 comfortably in summer. Equipped with Coleman stoves and lanterns as well as a well stocked cooking area, this hut is similar in design to the Castle Mountain Hut."

Mount Lougheed is located in Kananaskis Country near the Spray Lakes Reservoir, in Alberta. Mount Lougheed has three summits, and the mountain is part of the Canadian Rockies. The highest of the three peaks is known as Peak 2 or Lougheed II.

Set in the American Rockies, 1876, a pair of orphans, aided by an itinerant gambler, make their way west through the wilderness to inherit a ranch in Oregon. Location filming primarily around the Seebe area, including Mickey Bailey's Wildlife Unlimited game farm at the base of Yamnuska, and the Mount Assiniboine area.

Mount Assiniboine is located along the Continental Divide, in the Rocky Mountains, in British Columbia. It was named in 1885, and it sits on the border of Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park, B. C. and Banff National Park, AB. In 1925, Lawrence Grassi became the first person to make a solo attempt of the mountain. Mount Assiniboine was first climbed in 1901 by James Outram, Christian Bohren and Christian Hasler.

Mount Wilcox (also known as Wilcox Peak) is located in Jasper National Park near the Columbia Icelfield, in the Sunwapta River Valley. The nearest peak is Nigel Peak. Mt. Wilcox was named after Walter D. Wilcox who made the first ascent of the mountain in 1896.
