Carved into the ceramic piece “IXCHEL” to the viewer’s right, and underneath in the middle “GODDESS of the the MOON and WEAVING”.

Narrow door at top of trap opens on leather hinges and closes with wooden latch, long cord from one end holds cork float at its centre and carved tear shape wooden "sinker" at the end.
